Did you know that using a wireless network in your home is the same thing as putting a radio station in your back yard? All of the information that you pass from computer to computer on your Wireless network is broadcast through the air to any Wireless device that is tuned to receive it. Since most users of Wireless devices are home users who do not wish to go through the hassle of "hardwiring" their house, these are the users that are the most at risk. Most of these users do not have the resources of a department of professional computer experts that are willing to "lock down" their systems against possible outside intrusions. While the benefits of Wireless technologies will continue to make these devices very attractive to the home user as well as the business user, the security of these devices and the methods of securing these devices seems to be a closely guarded industry secret. With a little planning, and some careful execution of basic computer security principles, Wireless networks can be made secure as well as convenient. Don't believe that your wireless network is at risk, I invite you to have me or one of my associates show you just how easy it is to gather information that you thought was safe and secure.
I started M & M Services in early 2002. I have envisioned it as the computer shop for the "Rest Of Us". I became increasingly bored with the offerings of the major systems manufacturers. Yes, they offer some nice systems, but they also locked you into using certain combinations of hardware and software that in many cases just did not meet the needs of what we really wanted. So I started to build some systems for myself and my friends. I do not make a lot of money from this type of approach, (as a matter of fact I didn't make any money my first year), but I did learn a lot. I learned that a lot of people are clueless as to what is actually involved in putting together a performance oriented system. There are countless hours of parts compatibility research, followed by a few short hours of actual build time, followed by many more hours of testing, tweaking, and benchmarking. It's called research and development, and I do it on every system that I build.
I am currently working as Network/Security Administrator for a major IT Services company. My official title is Network Support Technician. That just basically means that if it is network related, it's my job.
I am certified as a Network Cable Installer through ICS Corporation, as well as being Brainbench ® Certified as a Network Technical Support Technician.
I am a top shelf computer technician with a reputation for building high-end, extremely reliable systems. I use readily available name brand parts so as not to be shackled to a big name system manufacturer. You can replace the parts in my systems with parts from any of the major parts suppliers or online sources.
In addition, I have a reputation as a top notch network trouble shooter and problem resolver. If I do not already know the answer to your networking problems, I will most definitely have a source to find the answers.
In this age of high speed connections to the internet, it is the responsibility of every individual who connects to the internet via a broadband connection, to make sure that their computer is not being compromised and used for illicit or immoral purposes. Cyber security is not only necessary for the big corporation, it is a must for anyone who connects to the internet with a broadband connection. I have the skills and know-how to make your broadband connected computer safe and secure. If you are interested in discussing any of the services available through M & M Services, my contact information is at the bottom of this page.
So whether you are ready to have a system built the way you want it built, or you just need to secure the system that you already have, give me a call. You will not be dissappointed. None of my other customers have been.
